Grant Burge Prosecco Wine Range resize

Grant Burge Prosecco Brut Range – 1 Bottle 750mL

Grant Burge Wines has been synonymous with Barossa valley quality since the family first planted vines in 1865. While best known for its celebrated Shiraz and Cabernet, the winery’s sparkling portfolio has steadily earned a passionate following. The Prosecco Brut Range showcases Grant Burge’s dedication to crafting elegant, approachable sparklers with an unmistakable Australian twist. Light in body yet precise in style, these wines offer an easy-drinking expression of Glera fruit, driven by vibrant citrus and orchard-fruit characters.

Five generations of Burge vignerons have refined their understanding of soil, climate and vine selection. Although Prosecco originated in Italy’s Veneto, Grant Burge sources premium Glera grapes from Riverland’s cooler pockets, ensuring lively acidity and pristine fruit purity. Each vintage undergoes meticulous vineyard sorting, gentle pressing and cool primary fermentation in stainless steel to preserve freshness. The secondary fermentation takes place in sealed tanks known as the Charmat method. This locks in fine bubbles and creates a crisp, dry finish.

The Prosecco Brut Range comprises two core wines: the classic Prosecco Brut NV and the Prosecco Rosé Brut NV. Both wines share the hallmark characteristics of the style; bright effervescence, restrained alcohol (around 11.5% ABV) and a refreshing palate.

Prosecco Brut NV

Colour: Pale straw with a hint of green at the rim.

Aromas: Crisp green apple, crunchy pear, white blossom and subtle lemon zest.

Palate: Fine bead, mouth-watering acidity and flavours of white peach and lemon pith.

Finish: Clean, dry and refreshingly persistent

Prosecco Rosé Brut NV

Colour: Soft salmon pink with delicate copper hues.

Aromas: Wild strawberry, watermelon and a whisper of rose petal.

Palate: Gentle creaminess balancing vibrant red berry notes and zesty citrus.

Finish: Delicate, textured and lingering.

Tasting Notes and Style

Grant Burge Prosecco Brut is deliberately poised between richer Méthode Traditionnelle styles and lighter frizzante alternatives. The result is a wine that’s energetic yet soft, making it both approachable for casual sippers and nuanced enough for seasoned enthusiasts. Expect a gentle mousse that lifts fresh fruit flavours, with a balanced interplay of acidity and a subtle textural grip. The Rosé Brut brings an extra layer of complexity, where Pinot Noir’s delicate berry tones weave through the Glera’s orchard-fruit core.

Food Pairing Suggestions

The versatility of the Prosecco Brut Range makes it a superb partner for a wide array of dishes:
